Okay, now the befores:

We are maybe going to put a cabinet above the fridge. You can't tell from the picture, but the floor is nasty.


Marking the decades by vinyl. Under that is asbestos tile. Yea!




There were cabinets above, but we already took them out last weekend. Notice we have started taking off the doors as well. You can see our vintage not-quite-avocado green oven. Still works (barely). We will replace it anyway. We are going to cut that whole top section out and move the (new) oven lower.


Here we have a cooktop we got about 1 1/2 years ago when the original broke. Now, the cut out was not a standard size, of course, so even though we thought we bought one big enough, we were wrong. So this one is propped up on plywood underneath.



We already replaced the dishwasher. These befores are only semi-authentic. There was not even a dishwasher here when we bought the house. However, Ben H. scored us a free one that we used the last 2 years. This is a brand new one, though. You can't really tell from the picture, but the countertop above the dishwasher is not actually laminate like the rest of the countertop. No, no, it is wood that was painted to match. How they got it to match exactly, I don't know. They did, though.
