make music for me (again)

I have a favor to ask.

As some of you know, we are driving to North Dakota this summer. So, that is a long trip, and a long trip in the car requires lots of music. Since we are not cosmopolitan enough to afford ipods, we are asking all of you dear friends to make mix cd's for us. We figure even if only 10 of you do it, that is 10 great cd's full of songs we may or may not ever had listened to otherwise. We did this last summer, as some of you remember, and came away with some great cd's. In exchange, you as a contributor will get a postcard. Wow! What a deal! We like all kinds of music except country and techno. Soooo, if you like music, or at least like us, please, please make us a mix cd! If you live far away, drop it in the mail. I can email you our address. (I'll even pay you for postage, cheapo.) We will most likely be leaving June 2, fyi. Thanks so much!

There's an additional challenge this year. If you can make us a cd with songs (good songs) that mention all the states (or as many as possible), you will get a special present. (Most likely something along the lines of a Wally the Walleye t-shirt. Ask Steve M.) Make sure these are songs with some originality and even obscurity. We don't want 15 copies of "California Girls." As I said, this is an additional challenge. You don't HAVE to do this. You can just send us mix cd of some good music.

This past weekend we went to Orlando to visit Dad and Linda who were there for a conference.

Here we are at a Japanese steakhouse in the Marriott World Center Resort. They give you an unreal amount of food at this place. Patrick ordered the tuna and he got 2 tuna steaks, probably 8 oz.each. I ordered the "lobster tails" which I thought was a misprint, but no, there was more than one tail. 3 to be exact. The kids had a great time. They were riveted by the guy cooking on the table. Until he set the shrimp on fire. Well, Henry loved it, but Ceci practically clawed my skin off my chest trying to climb over me to hide behind the chair. Other than that, she enjoyed the "show."
